Montreal confirmed as host city for 2009 conference

Following the success of the 2008 conference in Toronto, the Canadian Community Newspapers Association (CCNA) and its conference partner, the Canadian Newspapers Association (CNA), are pleased to announce plans for the 2009 conference in Montreal from May 20 - 22, 2009.


Delegates from across Canada are expected to attend the event, which marks the 90th annual CCNA conference, and will be the third joint conference between the associations.


Additional details on the conference venue, theme, and speakers will be announced in the coming months.


Montreal is Quebec's largest city, and is one of the largest French-speaking cities in the world. The city offers a rich cultural heritage, beautiful architecture, diverse events, and French cuisine par excellence. The city was designated a UNESCO City of Design in 2006.
