How to enter the CPR
BNC Awards
By now, members have received
the Canadian Community Newspapers Association’s
(CCNA) official 2003 Better Newspapers Competition entry
book. If not, you can also download the book from the
links on the right-hand side of the page. The entry
book contains details for over 50 classes of competition,
covering everything from writing and photography to
advertising, cartooning, and special sections.
This is the time when newspaper
staff across the country spread the past year’s
issues all over their tables, combing through them to
find their very best work.
But with so many categories to
choose from, how can you be sure you’ve done everything
right? Organization and careful planning are key to
getting your entries in on time.
The Better Newspapers Competition
is a valuable learning opportunity for all newspaper
staff, and we urge all members to enter and compete
