A
Message from the Conference Co-Chairs :

From Joyce Carlson Powell River (BC) Peak and
Brian McCristall Coquitlam (BC) Tri-City News.
It gives us
great pleasure to personally invite you to attend
the 2003 Joint CCNA /BCYCNA Conference. With the
theme of ‘Connecting Canadians Coast-to-Coast-to-Coast,’
this event will be the year's best opportunity
to gain a fresh perspective on a changing industry,
hone your skills, take part in a meeting of the
minds and while you're at it, take in the scenic
beauty of British Columbia. We promise to be the
best hosts on the West Coast. Each regional association
of CCNA has a chance every seven years to showcase
its area and we're delighted to have you in Vancouver.
Past conventions have taken place in Whitehorse
and Whistler. This year you'll be right in the
midst of our beautiful city with all it has to
offer.
An exciting,
information-packed conference program has been
developed to inform, educate and entertain. Two
banquets, two receptions, two luncheons, three
days of social programs for adults and children,
a full-day of professional development sessions,
three plenary presentations and one fun social
evening … all are included in one exciting
convention!
On behalf of
CCNA, BCYCNA and the Conference Planning Committee,
we look forward to seeing you in beautiful Vancouver
this May!
Stay a While and Enjoy a West-Coast Vacation this Summer
While
registering for the 2003 CCNA/BCYCNA Conference,
why not stay a while and enjoy a west-coast vacation
this summer? Use Vancouver as your gateway to
a host of travel destinations. Take a scenic drive
north to Whistler, passing the spectacular Shannon
Falls, and enjoy this picturesque resort’s
outdoor cafes and street performers … not
to mention outdoor activities on Blackcomb and
Whistler Mountains.
Or, ferry through
the scenic Gulf Islands, spotting killer whales
and sea lions, on your way to Victoria and Vancouver
Island. Experience the old English charm of Victoria, Butchart
Gardens, Chinatown’s Fan Tan Alley, and
endless beaches along the island’s west
coast. Experience the immense beauty while cruising
the Sunshine Coast, the Inside Passage and the
Queen Charlotte Islands.
As another option, visit the lush Okanagan Valley
renowned for its fruit orchards, vineyards and
championship golf courses. And, of course, tour
the majestic Rocky Mountains, home to glacier
fed lakes, rugged canyons and beautiful alpine
meadows.

to see and do, Vancouver and British Columbia
are terrific holiday destinations. You and your
