Judge's Comments
The Invermere (BC) Valley Echo wins this category for an advertisement for Lakeview Meadows that had great visual appeal because of the action scene combined with great use of colour. The reader is drawn to the ad and given enough information to easily contact the advertiser if interested. A very attractive advertisement.
The Wainwright (AB) Star Chronicle series of ads for the stampede gave the reader a good sense of the action they could expect. Good use of colour but some of the ads in the series were not consistent in the colour for the slogan "Soyears Ridin' High". A very close second!
The Stettler (AB) Independent’s nice, simple advertisement with a consistent theme using a little boy wins it third place. If the advertisements had been a bit larger they may have been more effective.
